- Gather all the stuffed animals in one place.
- With your child, decide on an acceptable number to keep. It could be a specific number like 15 stuffed animals or it might be half the collection of stuffed animals (for every stuffed animal your child keeps, one stuffed animal has to be donated).
- Empower your child in the decision-making process. Trust your child’s decisions and avoid second-guessing her donation choices.
- Let your child keep a few ‘favorite favorites’ on her bed. You can switch these out and keep the stuffed animals that are not being displayed in a hamper or stuffed animal storage cushion. And if you are super crafty, you could sew a stuffed animal storage floor cushion.
